A new design of experiment method for model parametrisation of lithium ion battery

Equivalent circuit models (ECMs) have been widely used to describe the electrical dynamics of lithium-ion batteries. A high model accuracy is important for effective simulation and control battery system. The depends on design experiment (DoE) method test optimisation approach ECM parameter identification. While many approaches proposed in literature identify parameters, effect DoE usually overlooked undervalued. novel this paper which uses both partial discharge (PDT) deep (DDT) testing. It shown through careful data analysis that, conventional methods using either PDT or DDT cannot capture battery's sufficient accuracy. Experimental are collected a commercial lithium ion battery. Results show new can significant improve accuracy, i.e., reducing root mean square error by ~70% comparison with approach. In addition, improved contributes increase SoC estimation extended Kalman filter.
